Programs

Esquao’s Violence Prevention Program develops workshops and educational resources grounded in the real-life experiences of Indigenous women. Through practical, culturally informed learning, participants gain knowledge, tools, and strategies to recognize, prevent, and respond to violence in their communities.

The program also focuses on building awareness, resilience, and supportive connections. By strengthening knowledge and community support, participants are better equipped to advocate for their safety, support one another, and contribute to healthier, stronger communities.

The Violence Prevention Program is funded by the Government of Alberta.
