Trauma-Informed. Culturally Rooted. Community-Led.
The Health & Wellness Program provides holistic healing support for Indigenous women, families, and survivors of MMIWG2S+ across Alberta. The program brings Indigenous and Western approaches together to support healing, connection, advocacy, and overall well-being in ways that are culturally grounded and responsive to participants’ lived experiences.
Supports include grief and loss counselling, ceremony, land-based healing, reiki, dreamwork, and monthly Sharing Circles featuring teachings from Elders. Participants may also access Indigenous psychologists and alternative healing providers, as well as advocacy support in collaboration with Victim Services, police, and the courts.
The program creates space for participants to share their experiences and contribute to meaningful systemic change. It is open to Indigenous women and gender-diverse people across Alberta and is funded by the Department of Justice Canada.
