2024 Esquao Awards

Please join us in amplifying the spirit, strength, and resiliency of Indigenous women in Alberta at the 28th Annual Esquao Awards Gala, on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the Edmonton EXPO Centre.

Since 1995, the Esquao Awards have recognized the achievements and contributions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit women from across Alberta and have raised awareness about the challenges and obstacles they face. The Esquao Awards have grown to be the single largest recognition event of Indigenous women in Canada.

This year, we have the honour of celebrating 18 Indigenous women from across Alberta. Their journeys and stories are testaments to their resilience and unwavering commitment to creating a brighter future for Indigenous peoples everywhere.

See you there!

Esquao, the Institute for the Advancement of Aboriginal Women, founded the Esquao Awards in 1995 and they have grown to be the single largest recognition event of Indigenous women in Canada, inspiring Indigenous women across the province to get involved in their communities, on and off the reserve and settlement.
