Finance Clerk
Reports to: Finance Supervisor
Location: Edmonton
Salary Range: based on experience & FT/PT

Position Summary
As part of the finance team, the Finance Clerk is responsible for ensuring financial processes are carried out professionally, accurately and within established timelines while maintaining expected confidentiality.
Reporting to the Finance Supervisor, key responsibilities include:
QuickBooks:
- Receive, review and process QuickBooks transactions as per financial policy and procedure and file in designated files (paper-based, digital)
- Enter invoices/bills into QuickBooks Online (or organization’s accounting system) with correct account coding, class/program allocation, and tax treatment
Accounts Payable:
- Report of all e-transfers and cheques required to be processed.
- The Finance Clerk is responsible for reviewing and validating payment packages (supporting documents, accuracy, coding, and required details) prior to processing for signatures and mailing. Identify missing or unclear information and flag issues for correction before processing.
Accounts Receivable:
- Invoice/payments ensure payment confirmation is complete.
- Office building and contract lease payments
Administrative:
- Administer and Produce: Reports, T4A’s, Invoices, GST Reporting
- Assist Finance Supervisor to ensure all corporate reports are completed, such as corporate registry insurance, casino, and banking
- Assist with maintaining accurate financial records by ensuring entries are properly categorized and supported.

Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
- Associate degree in accounting, finance, or business (an advantage)
- In depth knowledge of QuickBooks software
- Basic coursework in: Accounting principles, Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
- Understanding of financial records and reports
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Successful completion and ongoing maintenance of a clear Criminal Records Check.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Language: Fluency in English is essential. Bilingualism in an Indigenous language is a strong asset.
- Citizenship: Canadian citizen or permanent resident (eligible to work in Canada)
